Engineering Specialist – Power/Cooling

Translate commercial power and cooling requirements into detailed engineering designs and technical specifications. Ensure technical implementation meets performance commitments and certification standards.

Tasks

Technical Design & Engineering

• Develop detailed electrical and thermal designs for power and cooling modules
• Specify component selection, system sizing and integration requirements
• Create technical documentation, drawings and specifications for manufacturing
• Ensure designs meet relevant certification standards (IP rating, electrical code, thermal performance)

Product Development Interface

• Translate Prod 2 commercial specifications into engineering requirements
• Validate technical feasibility and cost implications of proposed solutions
• Support proposal development with technical content and performance validation
• Provide engineering input on customer technical queries and modification requests

Manufacturing & Quality Support

• Work with production team to ensure manufacturability and quality of designs
• Support factory acceptance testing and technical commissioning procedures
• Investigate field performance issues and implement design improvements
• Maintain technical documentation and change control procedures

Technical Standards & Compliance

• Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical, thermal and safety standards
• Manage certification processes and regulatory approval requirements
• Stay current on evolving technical standards and grid codes across target markets

Profile

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or related technical discipline
• 5+ years experience in power systems, thermal design or electrical engineering
• Experience with outdoor/industrial equipment design and certification processes
• Familiarity with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, local electrical codes)
