Reporting directly into the divisional CTO, we are seeking a Telecoms Network Specialist with experience of configuring and operating test networks in a telecommunications environment. Beyond the lab, you will spend time with network operators, working with them on product integration scenarios and helping to shape the product roadmap.
Tasks
- Maintain our network test environment:
- Q&A, Test systems / Networks
- Traffic generators and test set-up
- OLT simulators and a variety of vendor’s OLT solutions
- Netconf & yang models
- Network services including Q-in-Q, QoS, IGMP, DHCP Relay Agents, TR069, SNMP etc
- Work with application servers including:
- GenieACS and similar
- TiBIT MCMS and other software defined environments
- Network orchestration and configuration such as Kubernetes
- Border network gateways
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Ideally within broadband operators
- Hardware vendor experience also relevant
- Operator access networks using Q-in-Q VLANs, QoS, etc
- Understanding of IPv4, IPv6 Services (DHCP Server, DNS, Radvd, ssh, smpd, wget, tftp, etc.)
- Proficiency in
- Traffic generators and test set-up
- OLT simulators and a variety of vendor’s OLT solutions
- Netconf & yang models
- Network services including multicast models, DHCP Relay Agents, TR069, SNMP etc
- Curiosity and enjoyment in working within a creative team of specialists
