We are seeking a Senior PON Firmware Developer to join our growing firmware development team within our active network solutions business, DKT. This role focuses on firmware and software that enhances the customer installation experience.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain firmware for PON ONTs
- Conformance with standards frameworks including ITU G.988 and the relevant parts of TP-247, including the Broadband Forum certification process
- Maintaining interoperability with 3rd party PON solutions
- Debug, including customer cases, and interoperability diagnosis between vendors
- Cybersecurity and compliance with European NIS2 and UK TSA cybersecurity frameworks
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in:
- PON ONT firmware development
- Programming in C, Shell script and Expect in a professional environment
- Understanding OMCI and applications like QinQ, IGMP, DHCP Relay Agents, etc
- Experience of hardware integration and conformance testing
- An interest in software defined networks and cybersecurity
- Curiosity and enjoyment in working within a creative team of specialists
